Description

This manor was built in the city centre of Vilagarcía de Arousa by order of Rodrigo of Mendoza, abbot of Teverga, in the 16th century.

In the 17th century, it was already decided to create a new building, a neoclassical convent where a congregation of Agustinian nuns lived.
Furthermore, the Philippian nun’s school Sacred Family is an annex to this convent.

The three buildings are connected by a Renaissance arch in which we can find the emblem of the Marquis of Vilagarcía de Arousa.
The attention can be drawn into the crenelated towers and the two chimneys, a round one and a rectangular one.

The manor has been declared historic and artistic heritage.
